vacation to disney world memo
I will not be updating my journal this coming week. I will be on vacation in Disney World! So exciting! I will be tweeting (or is it called twittering) and those posts should be seen on this page to the left. If it does not show up, just press the refresh button. Sometimes my Twitter updates do not show up unless you refresh the page. I hope to have some really cool photos to post when I get back. Until then, see you when I get back!

rain, snails, and slugs
it would be an understatement to admit that it is raining outside. anyone can tell either by walking outside and falling into a puddle or hearing the rain tap against the walls. it does allow for lush vegetation and i am for that.
i am nearly finished with updating my online portfolio. i just to make some minor changes to it and it will be online soon. i want to have it completed before i leave for
disney world.
have i mentioned that i have gotten into learning about snails lately? this past sunday, i was watching an episode of
Smallville and i noticed a snail in my aquarium. each day when i would look into the tank, i would notice an additional snail. now i believe i have counted around 12 of them. they multiply very rapidly i am told. to tie with my recent fascination with snails, i found a family of slugs outside my patio and i caught a snail while playing
Animal Crossing. so all of these have sparked my interest in learning about snails and slugs.

linebaugh library posting 01: what a peaceful day!
I am taking a small break from finding books at the downtown library. I enjoy volunteering here. I find it very peaceful. Also I find some interesting books. Today I plan on checking out some zines. I have always wanted to start my own zine. So I will read through other people's zines to get some ideas on how to make my very own zine.

ten minute spill: with so much to accomplish
Today has been a rather good day. I woke up after a wonderful dream in which Michael and I were visiting Portland, Oregon. At one point, I was speaking Japanese. I have been having a lot of those types of dreams where I am speaking Japanese. We visited a vegan restaraunt and I woke up just before I started eating. The shame. I got out of bed and cleaned the apartment a little, took out the trash, and watered the plants.
I am almost finished with redesigning my online portfolio. I will be so happy when I have that completed.
I am in the midst of the library on campus and I can see that it is still sunny outside. I think I will play a bit of Animal Crossing when I get home. The library is about to close...and thus ends my spill for now.

when all of the smoke clears, there will be so much about which to contemplate
I will first offer a little sampling of my words from 8 years ago...
It all began this morning (I'll just start it off like a story), so it all started when I went home from staying at the Crunk Shack all night long. I took a nap with the heater on because it was cold. I got a call around 9am from Ariel and she told me the news. Two planes crashed into the World Trade Center with minutes separating the two planes. The two buildings crumbled to the ground with glass spewing. This is Pearl Harbor 2, well sorta.
Fastforward eights later and the world has changed a bit since then. The president of the United States is an African-American (well technically he is biracial). I believe that things will change for the better. We should not live in fear. As in the case with the current healthcare debate. Search for the facts and do not believe in lies and deceit. You will only fall due to the amount of dust in the air.
But eight years has been a long time and a lot has changed and while some aspects of life is terrible (like the economy), I do believe that when the smoke finally clears away, we will have so much about which to contemplate.

trading junk for jewels
Good morning, this morning's commute to work was rather engaging. Some people on the bus discussed Presidents Obama's speech that was yesterday and I find it all too sad. Parents did want their children to hear him speak because they feel that politics should be kept out of school. When you stop to think about it, politics is already in schools. Children learn about the history of the United States and the world along with prominent historical figures and many of those were *gasp* politicians. Children learn about the past presidents. Also what about school elections and school council. Are those not forms of politics or are we just supposed to assume that really they are popularity contests? And one more thing, why are children not allowed to watch the President, but yet they can watch so much reality television?

a day early
I had actually planned on making the switch to sundaymars 09: version 02 on 09.09.09 around 09.09.09, but I became very anxious and decided to make the switch now. so I am exhausted. I worked really hard on making this a reality. So now I just need to breathe silently for a little and then make changes here and there as I see fit. I have not decided on what time of the day I will most likely type into my journal. Perhaps in the morning or sometime throughout the day. Oh well I am going to bed now. It feel great to be back into writing in my online journal.

a random thought
today i will write a new entry and it will be the first entry into my online journal in many many months. I need to decide on when I should blog...mornings, evenings, before work? I will figure it out soon. My small cat is winking at me so I need to post this so that I can see what it looks like.
