middle of weekend

I have always enjoyed the middle of the weekend. A whole day of relaxation has past and yet there is one more day ahead. It serves as a sort of midpoint as if you are on top of some mountain overlooking everything. For me, I breathe calmly and am able to enjoy my relaxing slumber throughout the night. I think of myself folding clothes as I take them out of the dryer or perhaps even hanging them to dry outside if it is not raining. A sip of orange juice means so much more to me and everything seems great as I reflect upon my past week.

viewing the sky

i went outside to look up at the stars, but it is cloudy. so i will wait a full minutes. well it is mostly cloudly, so i can see the moon and what appears to be Jupiter. Darn, if only I had not ended my subscription to Astronomy magazine. I would be able to get the star chart that comes with each issue. Wait, perhaps I can find a free one that I can easily print out.
(five minutes later)....ok I finally found one and I have it printing out now. I had planned on going outside to watch the sky around 8, so this is a perfect time to do so. I found the map at http://www.skymaps.com/downloads.html. I enjoy the fact that you can see Jupiter as it appears close to the moon. Well here's to viewing more of the sky.

evening tea time 04: just thinking about the day

I am ready for bed. I just enjoyed a nice warm cup of relaxing tea and I am just reflecting over my day. Work was nowhere to be as Photoshop caused my computer to crash and my monitor kept turning off for no reason (well thanks to the cord in the back...so I suppose that is the reason). Still, I did enjoy eating lunch outside. I ate a mixture of rice, broccoli, and tofu. It has been getting warmer outside. It is not even cold whenever I walk to the bus stop and I am very happy that in the mornings, I have been leisurely walking to the bus stop instead of my usual dash. Those were always exhausting.

After work, Michael and I walked around Lowe's and we were very impressed with their Christmas selection. We were in total awe! As we checked out in the garden center, a few mosquito decided to bother us. We then ate at the Marina's on the Square and I must say that that place is always wonderful. We ordered a combo which consisted of stuffed shells, baked ziti, and eggplant parmesan. As we were leaving, I thought about how much I really do like downtown Murfreesboro. I remember the many times I would hang out at this one place (was it called Sebastian's?) back in 2002. Also there was that big march from MTSU to the court house in 2003. Oh yeah and hanging out at (well I do not remember the name...was it Bluesboro? it has a different name and there is a blue rooster there)...I digress...

So now I am going to brush my teeth and get into bed. A great way to end the day. Good night all. (well by the time I actually post this entry, it will be much later as I am just typing away at my computer).

a nice break

what am i doing now? oh yeas, i have a slight break from digitizing images so that someone can prepare a list for me. i have not updated in a few days, so i will do so now. i had a great weekend. it was terribly cold outside, but it will be much colder in the coming months. i wonder if i should continue watering my outdoor plants or just let them wither for the autumn. actually they are growing well. I had a terrible headache this morning. It was bothering my right eye. I really did not want to get out of bed. I eventually did and took some Ibuprofen. So as I rode the bus to work, my headache was slowly going away. I have enjoyed eating lunch outside since the weather is getting warmer outside. I think that is all I shall write now. I may have another entry later this evening while I enjoy my nightly cup of tea.

evening tea time 03: are you going to the revival?

I am so tired. I want to write a journal entry, but I feel so tired. I need to sleep. It has been a good day. It rained during the morning, but it was cloudy when I on my break. Whenever I get tired, my mind becomes very cloudy. I rode the bus home from work. As I boarded the bus, this guy asked me if I was headed to the revival. Strange because he used the definite article "the" as opposed to the indefinite article "a" and it really puzzled me. I am too tired to finish my tea this evening, so I will head off to bed. Perhaps I may even have a dream about this "revival" about which that guy had spoken.

evening tea time 02: reflection of light sources

i am about to have my evening tea. it has become a ritual for me lately. i drink my evening tea as i type an entry onto my laptop...this entry will make its way onto my online journal the following day. that is how it works. oh yes and i cannot leave out my afternoon snack of a good peanut butter and strawberry jam (all natural of course) along with a cup of soy milk. i feel great about eating healthy. every morning, i enjoy a green smoothie (kale greens, bananas, an apple, ground flax seed, and of course water).

enough about that though. it is raining outside this evening. it is a light rain. i cannot hear it as i sit inside the comfort of my apartment, but the streets are all wet and reflecting the many light sources. it would be a great time to take photos. i especially enjoy taking night photographs in the rain. you can control the lighting via the exposure (please do use a tripod). you get a lot of great reflectivity from the many lights as the water...well you get the picture. there was one night when i was walking around at night taking pictures when it was really foggy. i captured some really good pictures. i should do that more often. there was this one evening when there was an abundance of snow and i was too tired to go out and take pictures. i missed my chance. oh well.

well i am about to go to bed. i am feeling very sleepy. though my glass of tea is still somewhat full. i know! i will play minesweeper for a few minutes and then go to bed.

standing on the cliff as i begin my exploration of the infinite abyss

I watched a scene from Garden State and it was very helpful to me. All this time I have been lying stagnant thinking about what I could have done or how much I miss this and that (I find myself in that frame a lot), but it is time for me to wake up and explore the infinite abyss. The world is everchanging. Today while at work I was listening to various songs from 1992-1996 and the various sons reminded me of me growth at various stages of my life (The only constant is change). It made me think of how greatful I am to have had those experiences to enrich my life and how much is waiting for me. I just need to climb aboard the boat at the foot of the infinite abyss and explore. But first I shall take one small glance back at where I have gone and smile. Smile with the knowledge that I will look back upon thisd point in time as an awakening.

and the bus misses me

I missed the first bus this morning. Actually the first bus missed me. I was waiting on the side of the road on 96. As the bus approached me, I walked more toward the road (there are no sidewalks) and I thought that the bus was slowing down. Well it did not and the bus continued traveling down 96 with me chasing it. I tried to catch up to it, but failed. So now I am back inside writing this entry which will be posted sometime today. I have only made the first bus once in the last two weeks (though today is not my fault). I do have to say that it is dark outside, but I was standing underneath a streetlight. Now I do not drive, so I do not know if standing underneath a streetlight warrants being seen by drivers passing by. I do not have that perspective. But still. I always like getting to work well I need to get going so that I do not miss the 02nd bus.

evening tea time 01: Sleepytime Extra tea for my mind

Good evening, I should be in bed now. I just enjoy typing away at my computer and it just hit me that even though I have been updating in October, none of the posts are seen by people and that is because I need to switch the code on the main page to show the October entries. So I shall do that in the morning (as well as post this entry online). I am just happy that I made it to the bus stop on time this morning. I was running like crazy. Had I missed that bus, I would have just waited 20 or so minutes for the next bus. I was at the stop and a few minutes later, the bus arrived. It was still dark outside. Yes...it will be dark outside when I catch the morning bus. Have you ever had this feeling of wanting to stay away for all eternity because you have so much that you want to do and yet you know that you should be getting to bed. That is how I feel now. I do like the fact that I am sitting at my desk at night before I go to bed and write about the day (though right now I am just writing about writing about this vary notion). I have my action item list beside me and my once full glass of Sleepytime Extra tea...well I have drunk it all. It has so much good stuff in it (chamomile, tilia estrella, valarian, spearmint, West Indian lemongrass, hawthorn blossom, orange blossom). Anyhow, I should be getting to bed now. I will go and brush my teeth and head to bed.

riding on the Highland route post

Good morning, I am on the bus to work now. Another day of missing the first bus. I remember when I was in the 8th grade and I had a choice of several buses from which to chose. There was the 12 Bordeaux, the 29 Jefferson, and the 42 St.Celia/Cumberland. One of these used one of those articulated buses. I loved those. The people on the bus are silly. One person is trying discussing applying codes for certain situations. Five numbers can mean that someone shot themselves in a suicide attempt in their yard. It is all about applying what you know to use it to life circumstances. That same lady is nervous about riding the bus. She did not know about the transfer system. I remember when I first rode the bus in 7th grade and I did not know about the transfers. So I had to pay another fare to catch the bus. It was only 35 cents at the time. So that was good. Anyhow, we are at the hub. Time to transfer buses.

finally back post

I did not expect to take two weeks off from updating my web page, but it happens. so this weekend was great. I went to see Toy Story 01 and Toy Story 02 in 3D. It was a double feature and it was great. I think the last time I saw those two movies were also back to back. I look forward to the third installment. It is kind of rainy outside. I am inside just typing away on my computer. I am very happy that I have a new computer to use. Well actually I am using Micheal's old laptop, but it feels new to me. He has a new computer. So I have all of the necessary programs installed and this evening, I will finally clean my desk area and then this week, I will begin learning and reading and enriching my skills in web design and web development. I should get going now. I will talk more later.
